By Wha23 14 Rating He would take votes from the republican candidate in November.
By Leonel 10 Rating I can only dream…
By JerryB 9 Rating He doesn`t fit in the Republican tent. He`s a Libertairan. Different political outlook as it should be
By Leonel 6 Rating @kermie yes but this will be his last election for any position is govt (he already said that)
By brunodpnunes 6 Rating You`re right jungledude, if he runs, he thugs votes from GOP, and maybe, it`s his last instance as a neglected GOP prince in waiting.
By brunodpnunes 5 Rating It`s his last chance whatsoever. He doesn`t fit in GOP so let him mess with them, lol!
By MRFM 3 Rating He should “threaten”/ with it or mention it in the end if he doesn`t seem to have a chance. Then if he doesn`t get elected, sure. It is his chance in a democracy.
By TheWatcher 2 Rating The media and the establishment drones will continue to ignore Dr. Ron Paul untill they can. The choice is either truth, good sense and liberty, or Austerity measures, more debt, Communism, and all the isms to bring about a global economic governance of centralized power. Ron Paul already won IMO. If he doest win 2012 presidentials, the veil of deceit will come down even faster. The begining is near!!
By Kermie 2 Rating Jungletoe, I would much rather see Ron Paul in the Presidency than anyone else running on the Republican side. Like you said, his stance in foreign affairs, the military, immigration, and the so-called “war on drugs” is far more preferable than even Obama`s he`s a little squishy on gay rights (you can tell it pains him to take the libertarian position on it) and is a total hypocrite on abortion. But overall I like him on foreign and social issues. Where he scares me is with his utterly naive stance on the economy and corporate regulation. His fiscal ideology would destroy the country. Luckily, Presidents have much less effect on that than they do on military and foreign policy. So I wouldn`t mind seeing him as President.
By Tonyisgaming 1 Rating @Jungletoe, he isn`t pro economic control

By Penicydides -33 Rating He shouldn`t, because if he does, the black man will win.
By Caelan -12 Rating Well need to wait and see what actually happens, he shouldn`t go running off just because he lost though.
By Leonel -9 Rating I would support him jungletoe if he wasn`t so pro drug legalization. Ever since I heard him say heroine should be legal I can`t stand him.
By Cowboy -3 Rating IF he doesn`t get the nomination!? The establishment would never let him get the Republican nomination. Of course he should run as an independent.
By OWBinSV -3 Rating He`s drinking too much of his own Kool aid. He better not be the next Ross Perot!
By Demosthenes -2 Rating Doesnt matter to me since either way he wont win. He either won`t pull enough republican support or force a split in the support. Lose lose.
By Kermie -1 Rating I can`t imagine that he would. He`s a perpetual candidate and hasn`t done it before when he`s lost.
By Jungletoe 0 Rating Liberals shouldnt be so happy if he runs as a 3rd party candidate anyways. Many liberals are already endorsing him because of his Anti-War, Anti- Corperation, and legalized drug stance. To be honest, I dont see why a true liberal WOULDNT want to vote for him versus Obama.
By MyNameIsYours 0 Rating I think Ron Paul is the one most likely to help our fiscal situation. His economic policies are spot on and his stance on the defense of innocent life is great. His overall foreign policy is the most practical out of all the candidates. He is the most consistent candidate and would lead us away from the unconstitutional activities of many of the past administrations. That being said, I don`t think he should run as an independent. I just don`t think he could win. He would most likely just take votes away from the Republican candidate and ensure Obama`s victory. Jungletoe, Ron Paul isn`t anti-corporation. He`s anti-corporatism. There`s a big difference. Kermie, naive? Why don`t you try reading the books he`s written on economics before attacking his economics? And we`ve talked about economics before. No offense, but you`re definitely not as knowledgable as Dr. Paul on the topic.
By Snipes 0 Rating He has said he won`t he ran as a Libertarian in `88. It sucks and you get no time and spend all your money even getting on the ballot. It would accomplish nothing and he has said he doesn`t want to.
